We collect only the information needed to take payment, deliver your order, respond to enquiries, send the mailing list when requested, and keep required business records.

Information we collect

When you place an order, Stripe collects your name, email address, billing information, delivery address, payment status, and order details. Analect Press can access the information needed to fulfil and support the order. Stripe processes your payment card details; Analect Press does not receive or store your full card number.

When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit. When you join the mailing list, Buttondown collects the email address you submit.

How we use it

We use order information to confirm payment, pack and deliver books, answer questions, handle returns or refunds, prevent fraud, and meet accounting and legal recordkeeping obligations. We use contact-form information to respond to your enquiry, and mailing-list information to send releases and related news until you unsubscribe. We do not sell customer information.

Service providers

Information may be handled by providers that help us operate, including Stripe for payments, Buttondown for the mailing list, Australia Post or another delivery provider, our website host, and our accounting and professional advisers. Some providers may process information outside Australia under their own privacy terms.

Storage and enquiries

We retain business records and enquiries for as long as reasonably necessary for fulfilment, support, accounting, legal obligations, and dispute resolution, and take reasonable steps to protect them. Every mailing-list message includes an unsubscribe option. To ask what information we hold, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern, email enquiries@analect.press.
